Understanding the Importance of the U.S. Antitrust Lawsuit Against Live Nation-Ticketmaster

Sorry for the long drought in writing on this newsletter. Many long-term projects that I have been working on are nearing their final stages for public release. I appreciate everyone’s patience.

In the mean time, I have co-authored a short op-ed with my Open Markets Institute colleague Karina Montoya. In our op-ed, we describe the importance of the U.S. Department of Justice's antitrust law suit against Live Nation. Specifically, we describe the importance of targeting coercive contracts like exclusive deals and how the lawsuit has implications for the operations of the entertainment industry beyond U.S. borders. The article can be read here.
